Dear Fab Faux Fans Everywhere,
There’s a new dynamic coming to the band:
I’m officially announcing that after we complete our next two “Psychedelia!” shows, on November 1 at The Beacon Theater and November 8 at Easton State Theater, I’m making a departure from the band (on good terms!) after 27 wonderful years of bringing the Beatles’ records to the stage. My own professional schedule has gotten so that I can’t give enough time to the band so that they may work as freely and often as The Fab Faux needs to! I love the guys like brothers, and in no way are we severing any ties, either professional or friendship-wise, I just need to free up my time for some other musical pursuits.
As The Fab Faux, lots of fantasies have been made real. We’ve traveled to many countries all around the world, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and even recorded with Geoff Emerick! We played in Liverpool many times and brought the music to lots of American towns, big and small, and played many charities, parties, special occasions, and even TV shows!
My lifelong dream has always been to write songs. But when I met Rich Pagano, I got very excited about forming a band to honor the Beatles’ recordings and put my songwriting goals on hold, and, along with Jimmy, Jack & Frank, we proceeded to dig into that magic feeling of the Beatles’ records and get into the science of what makes them so magical. The fun part is performing them for you, the audience, and for me, it has indeed been a blast! With my schedule a bit freer, I will now have the opportunity to explore becoming a better songwriter and hopefully write something meaningful (to at least some of you out there), which is something very exciting to us who have been, and continue to be, inspired by the Beatles.
So I hope I have your support and good wishes as I dive into this next chapter. Rounding out the new version of The Fab Faux will be Jim Boggia, who has become a full-fledged member of our stage family over the years and will be sure to entertain us with all of his exuberant musical talent.
I hope I get a chance to play with the Fab Faux in some capacity again, but starting in 2026, our “6th Fab Faux member” Jim Boggia will step up as the “5th member”, so get ready to be entertained!
Thanks for all your support always,
Fab Will Lee
